Last Friday was L's birthday.
The original plan was to go see the drive in movies Thursday night and then spend Friday in Branson, MO.
Unfortunately, part of those plans were sidelined when L's search and rescue team got called out Thursday afternoon. So that meant no drive in movie for us, that didn't mean The Girls and I couldn't get up to a little mischief.
Fifteen LED balloons (yes, I had enough hot air to blow them all up myself),
two cans of silly string,
and one "Happy Birthday" banner later...
we had the kitchen decorated and were sitting in the dark waiting for L to walk through the door.
Friday we headed to Branson for a little shopping (that's L scurrying away in search of a testosterone recharge at the Bass Pro Shop),
grabbed some lunch,
and treated L to a birthday funnel cake at our favorite dessert shop.
We had a great time! The Girls and I can hardly wait for the next time we get to celebrate L getting old...er.
On a side note...
Want to know why GG felt the need to shield my eyes? It's because L decided to take our picture in front of my most hated store of all time!
Am I the only one that thinks the inside of that store looks like a room full of roadkill?
